Governor's Statement
"Lagos is not waiting for the perfect conditions to act on climate change. We are building them — project by project, partnership by partnership, deal by deal."

H.E. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu

Governor of Lagos State

Governor's participation at COP31 and at the Lagos Climate Investment Day is subject to formal confirmation.

The Proposition

From pipeline to partnership, from commitment to capital

The Lagos Climate Investment Day is the principal high-level event of the OCCE COP31 programme. It presents Lagos State's climate investment proposition to the decision-makers, institutions, DFIs, banks, impact investors and senior government leaders attending COP31 — and asks for specific, measurable commitments.

Lagos State has identified an indicative US$25–50 billion climate investment opportunity across 300+ projects — spanning clean energy, circular economy, resilient urban infrastructure, nature-based solutions, carbon markets and climate-smart agriculture.

This event connects that pipeline to the capital and partners that can advance it — through structured presentations, curated bilateral conversations and a cocktail reception designed to advance relationships and close follow-ups.
